      Barbara Stephens, Caregiver in Chief

Developed and published in partnership with Puzzler magazine, ‘Puzzles & Pastimes’ is designed to engage people living with dementia in stimulating activities that stretch their cognitive capabilities. The book contains a diverse range of puzzles, pitched at different levels of difficulty, and themed, to ensure that there is something for everyone available. Word searches, crosswords, picture games, colouring and spatial challenges encourage the use of a range of cognitive functions, keeping the brain active and prompting enjoyment and a sense of satisfaction and achievement for the puzzle-solver. Plus there is a small ‘ideas’ booklet included, offering guidance on providing suitable activities for people living with dementia, based on their interests, strengths and capabilities. A good value product that can be used in a flexible way.

Excellent content, good value for money. I was sadly disappointed to realise how little my father was still able to understand (with help); I should have purchased the activity book much earlier.

Could you advise if this says anywhere on the product about being useful for Dementia. I would like to purchase it for my mum, who is just slightly starting to struggle with her memory, but she would be offended if it mentioned Dementia
