A well designed clock with added features

Mr. James Ashwell, Founder of Unforgettable

Day clocks didn’t exist when I was caring for Mum so we had to buy an expensive office clock which wasn’t easy to understand, and could confuse her. This clock is more expensive than many others but it does have an important ‘reminder’ feature which allows you to prerecord vital messages. If your loved one spends quite a bit of time on their own this could be a very useful way to, for example, prompt them to take medication, or have a drink. This feature may not be as useful in the later stages of dementia, but it could certainly help in the early and mid stages. Overall, an impressive product.

This one will need a carer to help set it up.

    Ms. Daphne Simpson

When I began nursing, we were still using whiteboards with stickers of the sun or the moon and stars to help orientate our residents. It is wonderful to see how far technology has come and how it is benefitting those with dementia. I have recently had the opportunity to handle and try out a few of the day clocks. I found this one to be a little more complicated; most likely requiring the assistance of a family member or carer to set it up. However, using the combination of images, videos and audible prompts provided, I felt it could be extremely useful in a variety of situations.

19-Dec-2017 Product:

Very clear large numbers. Easy to read the time
27-Nov-2017 Product:

Reminders need to be repeated to be effective - but this would probably be too intrusive.
01-Nov-2017 Product:

The clock was an instant hit, mum no longer relied on me to tell her the day, time etc.
The alarms have been very useful since mum moved into an independent living flat. I have programmed mealtime times, activity times etc. She stops to see what the clock is reminding her to do.

17-Oct-2017 Product:

Easy to set up and use. Main feature of day date and time have helped my dad to be less confused.

How do you get the VAT relief also with the reminders do the continue every day and how many reminders can you put in.
I live in the United States, would this be compatible with electrical sockets or would I have to buy a converter?
Can you set the reminder for a specific date rather than on a daily basis? For instance if there was an appointment for the doctors in a weeks time, would it be possible to programme this into the device so a reminder came up on that day?
Is is possible to put on reminders remotely, and do I need a computer to do it/
Does the MemRabel 2 automatically adjust to daylight savings time?
My father is hard of hearing (does not like to wear a hearing aid), are there volume controls on this product? Before going to the expense I would like to work out whether he would actually be able to hear the reminders.
