In the Garden in pictures is like stepping outside for a breath of fresh air. Bright and detailed images of flowers and garden wildlife bring the beauty of nature indoors to be enjoyed all year round.

The in pictures range, is perfect for all ages and stages of dementia, with something in them for everyone. The books have been selected by dementia healthcare experts as part of the 'Books on Prescription' collection. The books stimulate conversation, laughter, maybe some happy tears and encourage storytelling.

Ideal for use at home, in a care setting or out and about, the large colourful images and easy to read text work together to create an immersive and stimulating experience, while giving all the benefits that having a chat and reminiscing come with.

The book is 48 pages long with colour and b&w illustrations and text.

Beautifully illustrated for adults in the later stages of dementia

Engaging with a loved one can become increasingly difficult as their dementia progresses and conversation dries up. I'm a great fan of Helen Bates and Pictures To Share and this imagery works particularly well for people in the later stages of dementia, without seeming childish or patronising. It's also a lovely way to bring the outdoors indoors, particularly for those who can't get out as much as they used to.

Text prompted lots of happy memories for all of us - not just my Mum! Text size is perfect for elderly reader, & not too much per page -... Read More.
