We were thrilled to receive the award for Outstanding Dementia Care Innovation at the ceremony in Brighton yesterday evening.
Unforgettable were delighted to win their first industry award when they went home with the Outstanding Dementia Innovation award at the 7th National Dementia Care Awards.
The award is given in recognition of the vital role of innovation in developing high quality services for people living with dementia. We’re so glad they felt Unforgettable filled this brief with our determination to create an online marketplace and community where people affected by dementia – both those living with the condition, their carers and professionals – can go to get life-changing products, advice, news and support.
The awards were hosted by TV personality and astrologer Russell Grant, whose grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease, and took place at the Brighton Centre following a drinks reception and gala dinner.
Other nominees at the ceremony included Active Minds, who were nominated in the best product category for their new Scentscape product (they also make many of the jigsaws and art activities on our site), and Chris Roberts, who won Exceptional Contribution from a Person Living with Dementia 2016 and who you may recognise from this blog news story.
Well done to all nominees and winners!
