We’ve been recognised for our work using digital technology to drive social change, and our founder, James Ashwell, has been named as an Everyday Tech Hero

Unforgettable are proud to be included in the 2016 Nominet Trust 100 – a list of the top 100 companies that are using digital technology to change the world for the better.

The list celebrates the people and organisations who have shown inspiring examples of social innovation and technology to tackle a significant social challenge. In the case of Unforgettable, it’s for our work providing a platform for people affected by dementia to discover products, advice and community.

Nominet Trust is the UK’s leading social tech funder, and it provides full grant funding, mentoring and business support to organisations using the internet and digital technology to address significant social challenges including health and wellbeing, economic empowerment and sustainability.

The NT100 list is put together through public nominations and Nominet Trust's own research, and their judging partners include Big Lottery Fund, Cancer Research UK, Comic Relief, Oxfam, Telefonica 02 and Society Guardian.

The aims of the list are to celebrate what social innovators are doing to tackle challenges, learn and provide insights on how to help social tech have impact of scale and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

The NT100 list is also recognising Everyday Tech Heroes. Our founder James Ashwell, whose experiences of caring for his mother who had frontotemporal dementia (Pick's disease) were what prompted him to set up the company, has been named as an Everyday Tech Hero. They’re inspirational people who have first-hand experience of the challenges they are tackling with tech.

Vicki Hearn, Director of Nominet Trust said:

'In this, the fourth year of the NT100, it is truly humbling to see so many remarkable people from all walks of life embracing digital technology as a force for social good. We hope Unforgettable’s well deserved inclusion in the 2016 NT100 provides a valuable stepping-stone for their inspiring example of tech for good.

With a bright idea, the right tech tools and a powerful desire to change the status quo, everyone has the potential to make a stand against the world’s most pressing social challenges. The NT100 seeks to champion the pioneers doing just that, in the hope that it inspires others to follow in their footsteps.'
